Meet Dr. Pragti Bimra – Owner & Heart Behind Downtown Dental

My journey to becoming a dentist has been one of passion, perseverance, and a deep love for people. I earned my dental degree in 2011 in India, where I also spent two years as a junior lecturer, sharing what I had learned with future dentists. In 2013, I made the life-changing decision to move to Canada. It wasn’t easy—but I embraced every challenge head-on and successfully completed my Canadian dental exams in 2016.

In 2019, after years of hard work, I took a leap of faith and became the proud owner of Downtown Dental Provost. What started as a dream slowly took shape—with consistency, heartfelt care, and an unwavering vision. I designed a brand-new clinic from the ground up, and today, it stands as a trusted home for dental care in Provost and the surrounding communities. I’m incredibly grateful for every patient who walks through our doors, every team member who shares this mission, and every community member who has supported this journey.

Giving back is at the core of who I am. Over the years, I’ve volunteered on dental missions in India and the Philippines. Every Friday, I also help University of Alberta dental students serve the community at Radius Community Health & Healing, offering mentorship and support as they provide care to underserved populations. Outside the clinic, I recharge with quiet joys—nurturing my indoor plants, getting lost in inspiring books, or exploring trails with my loyal pup, Bella.

My vision for Downtown Dental is simple: to be a one-stop destination for all your dental needs, so families in and around Provost don’t have to travel far for quality care. With advanced treatments, a compassionate approach, and a team you can trust, I’m proud to provide dental care that’s personal, professional, and made to serve generations.

Dr. Gagan Dosajh, DDS

My journey in dentistry began in India, where I first discovered my passion for oral health—and especially for the intricate world of root canals. That interest led me to complete a three-year residency in Endodontics, where I deepened my knowledge and refined my skills.

After moving to Canada, I continued my education and earned my DDS degree from the University of Alberta’s School of Dentistry in Edmonton. I’m proud to be a member of the Alberta Dental Association and the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta. I’m always striving to stay current with the latest advancements in the field because I believe my patients deserve the very best care.

While I have a special love for root canal treatments, I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry. What truly motivates me is the chance to connect with patients, build lasting relationships, and help them feel confident in their smiles. For me, great dentistry starts with trust.

Outside the clinic, I love exploring new places, trying different cuisines, and spending time with my family and friends. Whether it’s discovering a new foodie spot or planning my next travel adventure, I’m always looking for new experiences and meaningful moments.

Lorrinda Holman, RDH

I received my Dental Hygiene training at the University of Alberta College of Oral Health Sciences in 1996, and have been in general practice ever since. I have worked in several dental offices in Alberta, but have been with Downtown Dental since it opened in 2003.

I enjoy helping my clients keep their smiles healthy and beautiful, and love that I am now watching their families grow as they bring their children and grandchildren in for their dental care. My husband and I enjoy hunting, camping, hiking and motorcycle cruises more often now that our two children are grown. I spend way too much time on Pinterest finding new cooking or crafty projects to start, and I dabble in cake decorating, scrapbooking and gardening in my spare time.

When did you last visit your Dental Hygienist? I can help you to keep your healthiest mouth and brightest smile for life!

Kendra Rach

- Office Manager

Hi, I’m Kendra – your trusted office manager at downtown dental
I have had the joy of being the lead receptionist here since July 2022. I very much enjoy my role in the office, knowing I get to set the vibe for each patient. Being the first and last interaction with our patients gives me the chance to create a warm, welcoming, FUN, comforting experience for anyone who calls or walks through our doors. I believe a kind smile and a little extra care can go such a long way and I am very proud to be part of a team who follows the same philosophies, making it our goal to always put our patients first.

This career has been such a blessing for our busy little crew at home. I’m genuinely grateful to walk into work each day excited to serve our patients with the best care possible and to spend time with our incredible staff. There’s a constant atmosphere of laughter, support, and meaningful conversations that make our workplace feel more like a family than a job. I feel lucky to be surrounded by people who bring so much joy and encouragement into each day.

When I’m not at the clinic, I’m in full-on Mom mode with our four amazing kids who fill both my schedule and my heart. Whether we’re at the rink, track, dance studio, gym, field, or court, you’ll find me there cheering them on as their number one fan! I love spending my downtime camping, walking, dirt biking, traveling, caring for plants, or getting lost in a good book—each one a form of therapy for me. My dream is to travel the world with my husband and kids, living big and giving back along the way. Volunteering and staying active in our community is a huge part of who I am; it fills my cup and gives purpose to the life I love in the place I’ve always called home.

Chrissy Murray

- Lead Dental Assistant

I became a Registered Dental Assistant in 2001, and I’ve been passionate about helping people smile ever since. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working in clinics across Lloydminster, Airdrie, Edmonton, and Grande Prairie, bringing my experience and energy to each team I’ve been part of.

In 2009, my family and I made our way back to the Provost area. After taking some time away from the dental world, I’m so excited to be back—and even more thrilled to be serving as Lead Dental Assistant here!

I truly love what I do. Whether I’m assisting in the operatory or working behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly, my goal is always to help patients feel comfortable, cared for, and confident during their visits.

When I’m not at the clinic, I’m spending time with my family. We’re big on adventures—camping, fishing, traveling, and cheering on our teens at their sporting events.

I’m so happy to be part of this amazing team and to be doing what I love every day!

Client Testimonials

"I am not a big fan of visiting the dentist. However, my recent experience was truly one of the 'best' I've had. Lori did such a great (and gentle) job with my cleaning. Never thought I would ever rate a dental visit as 5 stars, but it was all around terrific and all the staff were really positive and supportive in just the right way! very happy I have found them (new member of the community), and know I'm in good hands in the future."
Jill S.
